Tags/Trackers
An automated fleet tracking, asset tracking, and inventory management system that works without scanners, barcodes, or chokepoints, using long range, ruggedized active-RFID tags, GPS tracking devices and your web browser. Overview makes use of GPS, Active RFID, GSM cellular, and cloud-based web technologies, allowing for near real-time location tracking.
What is the life expectancy of the tag?
Our equipment tag uses an active RF technology and is disposable. Our Tags ping 3 times every 20 seconds and is designed to last approximately 7-10 years, which often outlasts the equipment it is attached to.
*Range may vary relative to environment (walls, obstructions, etc.), but in clear sight a tag will transmit over 200 ft to the nearest tracker base.
What can Overview track?
Overview can be used for many different types of assets such as vehicles, personnel, tools, and equipment. If you can attach an asset tag to it, Overview can track it. Tagging all your assets will benefit your business by helping you increase efficiency, reduce equipment loss, and prevent excess inventory issues.
How will I attach asset tags to my equipment/assets?
We suggest using screws or rivets to best secure them to your equipment. Attaching tags inside equipment, especially when the tag is enclosed in metal, is not recommended.
GPS Trackers for Warehouse, Vehicles, or Trailers
Trackers can locate thousands of asset tags simultaneously, showing live GPS locations for vehicles, trailers, and warehouses. The last known tag locations are transmitted, even when they fall out of range.
The trackers you'll install in your vehicles or plug in at your warehouse are built to last and are powered whenever your vehicles are running.
Where do I need to install trackers? How many will I need?
To make Overview work properly, put trackers in all vehicles moving your equipment. Also, use at least one extra tracker in a regular power outlet at your office or warehouse.
Is there a limit on the number of tags that a system can track?
No limits! Each tracker is capable of simultaneously receiving signals from thousands of tags. The overall system can manage and oversee an unlimited number of trackers and tags.
How do I install trackers in my vehicles?
You can connect trackers in two ways: by directly wiring them or by plugging them into the lighter outlet. When installed in your vehicles, the trackers will work whenever the vehicle is in use. We offer instructions for hard-wiring and properly installing the trackers, but if you prefer, we can recommend professional installers.
Life expectancy of trackers?
Our tracker units should last until the technology becomes obsolete.
